Here's the Truth
I had anticipated this stage of life for quite some time, it almost seemed as though time sped up as I neared it. Anxiety and worry took hold as I reconsidered my life choices.
I was about to go to University!
Now, as I have just recently begun this new endeavor, I can't honestly say it's been all good, but I've learned a lot already.
Not just from the textbooks (But believe me, I've been hitting those hard!), but from the experience and interactions with a lot of different people.
Here are just a couple of this I've learned so far at University
Faithfulness in the Insignificant
When you spend hours and hours a day studying a subject or subjects that you maybe don't find particularly interesting or maybe don't relate to what you ultimately want to do, you're bound to ask yourself some deep questions.
Why am I doing this?
Am I just wasting my time?
Is this really what God wants me to do?
Believe me, I've asked myself these questions, and maybe you have too.
To put it frankly, you could be wasting your time or maybe God doesn't even want you attending University, but let me speak to those of you who see a path that you believe God wants you to take.
This is the camp I would fall into and it can sure be a frustrating one, to see the ultimate goal and yet have years of seemingly never-ending work...
Come to think of it, a lot of life is seeing a goal and spending years of faithful study or training or practice to achieve that goal. Sometimes that work may seem meaningless, or monotonous, but some of the most meaningful and important goals are only met after a lifetime of dedication.
However, it is vitally important to remember why you're doing what you do. Not simply to achieve a goal and/or reap the benefits of it, but to use your gifts and talents in faithful submission to God in all his purposes for your life.
To Glorify Him
